After watching many B-Town superstar performances in last editions of Kabaddi World Cup Opening Ceremony like Sharukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif, etc in last few years. This editions brought the performance of Priyanka Chopra, Gippy Grewal , Miss Pooja, Sharry Mann from B-Town in opening ceremony of 4th season.
Several VVIPs and thousands of people were there in multipurpose sports stadium in Bhatinda on Saturday to witness the gala inauguration ceremony of 4th edition of World Kabaddi Cup,there were proper security arrangements for the event by the state government.
Besides 14 superintendents of police, 39 deputy superintendents of police and more than 4,000 cops of other ranks were deployed to look after the security arrangements of the mega event that witnessed performance by Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra, Punjabi singer Gippy Grewal, Sharry Mann and Miss Pooja. Chief minister Parkash Singh Badal, deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal , other MPs, chief parliamentary secretaries and MLAs were present at the inauguration ceremony.
This is the biggest celebration will be held from November 30 to December 14,2013 in the estimated budget of Rs 20 crore.
For you the kind of information in November 2011, it was performed by SRK in the opening ceremony of the 2nd World Cup Kabaddi while Akshay, Deepika and Chitrangada Singh in the closing ceremony. In 2012, Akshay and Katrina Kaif performed during the 3rd edition of the World Cup Kabaddi.
The head of the Punjab Kabaddi Association and state education minister Iskandar Singh Maluka confirmed that the 12 teams in the men’s section and 8 in the women’s category have confirmed their participation in the championship.
